The data protection market offers many strategies for every type of enterprise.
These options span the original security aspects through AAS offerings, multi-cloud, recovery and next-generation solutions.
But what is right for you?
Answering that very question led me to two WWT Solution Architects, Dustin Zitzmann and Michael Ambruso.

I like the way they shift the focus away from the nebulous and less-useful 'DATA' and into the more applicable "how is this business process going to be recovered?"

Dustin continued:

“Disaster recovery is for regional disasters. It's for natural disasters, it's for data center outages. It's not for something that's infecting that revenue driving database. Or that specific business process that ultimately maintains your transaction logs. Those are things that we need to protect from.”

The advice and ability to shift perspectives is valuable in this areas.  You can expect more detail in the recommended reading or I do encourage you to reach out to schedule time with them or sign up for a workshop.
